Perhaps it’s because you need to be a semi-genius to figure out what all the buttons do on modern keyboards. I’m still not sure that I completely understand how the three pedals on a piano work! Not exactly anyway. While guitars and drums are pretty much still, well, guitars and drums, keyboard technology has been revolutionized by the ability to use samples in addition to acoustic and synthesized sound. We’ll explore how we can get the most out of modern technology without losing the human element that makes keys so transformative to a rock band.
